Special Assistance Network attends seminar on "Keeping the Peace: Pointers from a Mediator"

The Special Assistance Network attended a seminar on “Keeping the Peace: Pointers from a Mediator.” This seminar was sponsored by Drake University Law School and addressed the various methods, skills, and tools in dealing with various types of conflicts. The Special Assistance Network realizes that many disputes occur in families with Special Needs individuals, whether it be family disputes, family disagreements, neighborhood issues, workplace issues, or sometimes legal issues that cause disruption and conflict within the family unit. The Special Assistance Network learned various techniques that be conveyed and used to counsel families with Special Needs individuals with such conflicts as they arise to keep peace within the family unit because the Special Assistance Network realizes the stress Special Needs families continue to endure on a daily basis. The Special Assistance Network is always striving to be a resource to its clients and the community.
